I’ve been commissioned to shoot for Vossen Wheels again, this time a 4 door Infiniti G37 sedan. The owner was very excited to see this so instead of taking my time typing, I’m just going to upload it so he can see it haha. Thanks Manny for bringing out such a wicked ride and Anthony from Vossen wheels.

More Subby love

Before I continue any further, R.I.P. Steve Jobs. A great innovator and visionary. He will be remembered as the tech legend.

Okay now onto the happier things. Through out the summer, I’ve done a few shoots here and there, and this is one of them I would love to share. A track prepped STI with nothing short of amazing. It’s not the most powerful out there, and certainly not the lowest, but the car stands out by itself because of  how clean the car is with combination of unique parts. Not something we would normally see in Vancouver, B.C.

The setting of the shot was quite a coincidence. The weather was perfect, the time was plenty, and the subject was perfect. I know to most people, shooting a black car is hard, but for me, to make a white car stand out in photos are far more challenging than any other color.

Thanks Barry! It was real fun shooting the car! Canibeat feature right here!

This summer is just swarmed with shoots for weddings and cars for me. So busy I don’t even have time to update my blog. Since I’m on my break editing photos, here’s one set of photos I shot for Vossen Wheels. Owner was a great guy to work with. Thank you for Jav and staffs at Vossen Wheels for this opportunity! Loved how some of these shots came out!

Lexus LF-A – words cannot describe

You guys wouldn’t know how excited I was when I received a message to shoot this car. It’s one of the cars that I’m really crazy about (and if you guys know me, I’m not always the biggest fan when it comes to exotics because I can’t afford them haha). Like the Toyota 2000 gt, the Lexus LF-A is an iconic piece of engineering masterpiece. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the sound in the pics. This car sounds amazing and nothing even comes close to it.

Adon’s 2011 G35 Photoshoot

Had the chance to shoot Adon’s G35 again. The first shoot was done back in Aug of 2009. Adon showed up this time with some crazy stanced g35 so for me, I know I have to do something that would look better than last time. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t giving us any chances and we’ve postponed the shoot numerous times. I have to say I have quite a few photos I like from the shoot. Framing and composition were quite limited because the background in around the area were quite busy. Regardless the shots came out better than I wanted it to be so I’m a happy man :) These photos will also appear on Canibeat and DPE wheels. Once again, thanks Adon for the amazing car I get to shoot!

Weather’s been pretty inconsistent lately in Vancouver but I’ve managed to pulled a quick shoot from the only dry day of the whole week. Pretty excited when I was told and commissioned to have this shoot done. It’s not my first time shooting super cars but these cars just gets my heart pumping every time. Please stay tuned for Part 2!

Maserati Gran Turismo. Soul of a Ferrari.

I don’t normally post pics of stock cars, but this car deserves it’s place. With pure italian design and styling, the Maserati Gran Turismo is just not your typical car. In fact, the car would line up nicely along with the Alfa Romeo 8C. I just wish to do a proper shoot on one of those (saw them on track day before, those 8Cs just makes you droool too) Anyway, enough talk. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

Behind the scene “White Flame” MWDesign shoot

I don’t usually post behind the scene shots, mainly because I don’t find them interesting enough to show. However, this is one of my first time shooting cars in an indoor studio. Thanks again Whitebox Studios.

A lot of people asked me how I got the car so shinny, and believe it or not, a white car in a white studio is usually the easiest to shoot, but for me it was a challenge. I didn’t want to do the typical photoshoot. If I light the car pointing the light straight at it, it would look bland and flat. Instead, I made use of the white walls around the studio, and pointing the lights at them so it reflects off a bigger surface area. By doing that, it creates a big soft box effect that allows the car to look more reflective and appealing.
